Great filter.
Fit perfectly in my dodge ram. Little expensive butcan wash and reuse.will save money in long run over replacement filters. Don’t drive much so not sure about improving gas mileage. Quality seems really great. Would definitely purchase again.

Worth the cost. Got 3 mpg boost.
I’ve meant to try one of these filters forever but I finally decided to try one when the paper filter on my truck got clogged. It was severely hurting my MPG. I replaced the filter and pretty much instantly my mileage increased by 3 mpg. Of course that was from a dirty filter but I am getting at least 1-1.5 mpg more that I ever did before. When you consider that this filter can be washed and lasts a lot longer than a paper filter, combined with the fuel savings, I think this is a great deal and far more economical that the paper filters. I’ll never go back! Why do they keep putting paper filters in new cars anyway?? $$

Best on the market for a reason. They engineer these filters to last. No wonder NASCAR uses them. Maintain them properly and they can exceed their warranty easily. Don’t wast time and money going cheap it’s not worth it.

It fits my Ram 1500 Hemi 2018
Noticed my mileage went down suddenly, and also realized I hadn’t changed or checked the filter in a while. I already have the cabin filter version of this, and decided to get this, instead of the Autozone filter again. Mileage is climbing back up on the truck average. It fits, but in the box it’s a little “soggy” with the K&N oil treatment. IE, you will need to wash your hands, and be careful what you put the box on.

I ordered one in December. I didn’t check it as I was waiting for oil change to swap out. Because I waited until April to install I opened and found it wasn’t k&n but a dirty factory filter. So when I reordered I opened immediately to verify it was new. So double check

Worth it so far
After installation I have noticed a increase in mileage varying from 1 to 4 MPG, engine has a better sound to me as well and better throttle response. Installed on a 2009 Ram 1500 5.7 hemi

Best high performance high flow air filter for any Ram 1500 HEMI V8 5.7L Mileage went up from about 8 mpg to 16 MPG !!! on Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-20 Full Synthetic engine oil and Shell V-Power Nitro + Premium gas mixed with STA-BIL 360 Protection Ethanol Fuel Treatment. On Highway it hovers around 20 MPG!!! With Variable Valve Timing and Engine Cylinder Management that shuts off 4 cylinders and running on another 4 cylinders for fuel economy shines 20 MPG-22 MPG. Definitely worth it
I liked how much smother my engine ran. Now I needed a new air filter so even with any probably would have felt better but it was a big difference on how it overall ran and power right away so I would recommend this air filter. It came pre oiled so I am assuming when I clean it I will have to oil it again but still worth every penny 👍🏻👍🏻

It seems my average mpg improved. 2017 Ram 2500 with 6.4 hemi. Averaged 12 mpg until filter installed. Now it’s getting on average 14 to 16mpg city. Install was super easy. Just 4 clips and done basically anyone can do it.

Does not fit the 5th gen Ram 1500
I live in a dusty environment so I wanted an air filter that I could clean and reinstall a few times over the dry summer and fall months. Unfortunately this filter is about an inch too short to fill the air box on the 5th gen Rams. It may very well work for the 20019 Ram 1500 Classic but not the 2019 Ram 1500. Needlessly confusing from the dealer but regardless I am now 1 for 3 on a K&N filter fitting my application.

I haven’t noticed any increase in fuel mileage in the past month that I’ve had the air filter in my truck, but it has been hotter and I’ve been running the AC a lot more too. With that said, I haven’t noticed a drop since I started using the AC more so maybe I’m only breaking even between that and the new filter.The Hemi does have a bit more pep. I noticed that the first time I drove it with the new filter. I don’t feel it anymore, but I’ve gotten used to it by now.Installation was a snap. Just make sure it’s seated in the air box correctly and put the lid back on.The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there was a substantial amount of the filter oil that hap seeped out of the filter and soaked through the corner of the box. A little better plastic bag in the box would remedy that.

Great Product!
2008 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. 4.7 V8. I could feel a difference in the throttle response and gain about 1 MPG. It may not seem like much of a gain but I went from getting 12.7 MPG to 13.9 MPG which give me about 26 extra miles per tank. That’s 2 gallons of gas @ $3.60 a gallon so I’m saving about $7.20 on each fill up. I’ve been through 5 full tanks so far and the results have stayed the same. I have also had a small increase in power. Passing a slower car has become a little quicker. It’s not much of a gain but worth the $$$. I have ordered another filter for my wife’s SUV. Told a Friend about my results so he bought one for his 09 Nissan Titan. He has gotten similar results from his K&N filter. I would recommend this product. The first time I started the truck after installing the filter the engine revved very high for about 10 seconds then returned to normal idle. Great product that will eventually pay for itself.

Mileage vs power
Wanted to replace conventional air filter before a long 4100 mile trip towing a travel trailer. The claim of more airflow probably did add more power. Better mileage, not really. As for longevity, time will tell but expecting good results. This was installed in a 2018 RAM with 5.7L V-8 and 8 speed AT.

It is a good filter. Not sensing any improvement in gas mileage or power but it’s still a lifetime filter! My mileage was 12.9 prior to the filter change and it has stayed the same. Reset prior to changing knowing I was purchasing to compare after. Still a much nicer filter.

If you love your car
After 40 years of driving and owning more than 50 types of vehicles no one can tell the difference by feel when they put one of these in their automobile, even if they were Carroll Shelby. But more air means more fuel for the engine to burn gasoline which means more horsepower and throttle response (even if it can’t be perceived). Many manufacturers are putting mass air flow systems in their top performance models like the GT350 Mustang, Dodge Demon, etc…and although 99% of the drivers don’t have those engines it will still provide an upgrade over the normal filter in your car. With the cold air ram kits you can hear a difference but I still doubt anyone can feel a 0.01-0.1 second quicker throttle tip-in response.

I should have changed the air filer sooner. After driving my “ new to me” truck six months and trying to figure out the slight roughness at idle I put in a new K+N air filter in my 12 Ram 1500 RT 5.7 . It idles perfect and accelerates faster ! Try me ! Lol

Excellent value and durability!
I purchased this K&N filter back in November 2012 for my, then brand new, 2012 Ram 1500 truck. It is now February 2021 and I am very pleased to report that this filter is worth every single penny! I’ve run with this filter for the last 9 years without one issue. I buy the recharge kits and clean and recharge the filter on the average of once every 3-4 months and it has performed perfectly for me!

you should put a new air filter in ever 6 mos some of them run as much 19.00 each i get a K and N when i get a new or used auto and like my 2001 dodge i have had new doe the math say 10.00 ever 6 mos for 24 years that is $20.00 a year 2x 24 is $480.00 i saved $450.00 i wash them out with Dawn and let them dry and back in they go i have one in 5 auto that some i have had over 11 years and some 14 years i would say i save alot money now as far more power and better gas i don’t know but i can buy alot gas with what i save not have to buy them paper ones got them on cars truck bikes buy one time and just was with dawn let dry and put the money in my pocket just on the old dodge how much gas could i but with $480.00 it take $60.00 right to fill it up now that 8 tank of gas at to day price of the year 2024

This filter is a must for my 2021 Ram 1500 5.7 Classic Warlock 4×4. I have a 2.5” level kit on the front and 2” wheel spacers with nice off-road tires. I was getting barely 15mpg and most of the time 14mpg before this filter. Now I get 17-19 on the interstate. This is one of the best functional upgrades money can buy. Definitely a difference in overall powe. Really noticed the changes when I got a couple hundred miles on the filter to break it in. Buy it!!
